I brainstormed the different short film genres and wrote the pros and cons of each. This way it will help me decide what genres are best for me to use for my film as I can visually see my notes.
I decided on Family genre. This is because I want to make a film that is suitable for all audiences and to give them a story that is meaningful and heart warming to them. Also the family genre allows me to work with a broadened range of different ideas, where some can be children's tales (fiction) or about real life situations (factual) or even a mixture of both.
This is a good idea. Which genre have you decided on? You are right about comedy. Timing is of the essence.
