Making Short Films by Clifford Thurlow

To help further my understanding of Short films I have read certain chapters of the book ‘Making Short Films’ by Clifford Thurlow that are associated with my reasearch.
To summarise what I have read, making a short film is not an easy task. It requires hard work and dediction to create a film that is worth recognition, with a meaningful story line. Some short films do not have any meaning to their story and are seen as quite abstract and abnormal; however some do have meanings that can become personal to persons of the audience, which some directors hope to achieve. It also tells you how to go about creating a short film, from whole chapters just on the script to choosing the location of your film.
In some of the last pages of the book there are examples of story boards of other short films. Looking at this has helped me to understand how I should go about planning and making my storyboard effectively.
