This is a slanted medium-long shot. Through this we can see his surroundings and get an idea of the kind of life style our protagonist has. We also see him holding, what seems to be a mirror. The way in which he looks at it suggests that this could possibly be an important feature in the film.
This is an animated shot. We see that it goes down through the ground and are able to see the layers that lie between the upper and underground world, which is, as we see later, what our protagonist calls home.

In this shot we are shown clearly what the main element or idea if the film is. We know that the ‘hand’ part in this shot is animated. This is so they could get the effect they wanted to create and to captivate the audience.

Here we see the money pot again, but this time it is overflowing with money. We know that due to the new find made by our protagonist, he has now placed himself in a much better position financial-wise.
And here we see him still collecting money as though there has been no change in his life. We do, however, see the ‘strange’ mirror beside him and we can assume that he is using it to put his collected money through it and into his money pot, pretending that he has had no donations.
